Canned whole tomatillos is the ideal solution when fresh tomatillos are not available. The casings of the tomatillos are removed and then canned. With this can, you can easily make a large quantity of Mexican salsa verde. Drain tomatillos and add Jalapeño/Serrano, onion and coriander, puree with a blender or hand blender and your salsa verde is ready. Perfect for restaurants, catering companies or anyone needing larger quantities of tomatillos!

The Tomatillo is also called green or Mexican tomato. This is a fruit with a sour taste, which can be compared to a green apple. Because of its sweet-sour taste, the fruit can be used in many different dishes. The Tomatillo is a must in Mexican cuisine, just like the Jalapeño and Poblano. The sharpness of a chilli pepper goes well with the slightly sour taste of the tomatillo. That is why the tomatillos are often used to make (spicy) salsas, but is also very good for roasting, baking or grilling the fruit.
