Description

Sambal Baksi, the slightly spicy taste sensation from Amsterdam. Sambal Baksi is softer than other sambal and has a slightly sweet taste. This is because fresh apple and onion are fried in the sambal. Because the sambal is less spicy, it is also popular with people who do not like spicy food. Because of its slightly sweet flavour and its slightly less spicy character, Sambal Baksi fits literally with everything that is savoury. From a peanut butter sandwich to anything on the BBQ. Summarising the taste in words is of course difficult, so taste Sambal Baksi yourself!

Fire in Mokum/Brand in Mokum
Many sambal lovers like a bit more spice, the ‘Brand in Mokum’ variant is especially for that. The Madame Jeanette pepper has been added to the ‘Brand in Mokum’ sambal. Besides a little more spice, this pepper also adds extra flavour.

Amsterdamned Reaper
And for the real fire-eaters there is the Amsterdamned Reaper. The second hottest pepper on the planet, the Carolina Reaper, is the star player in the Amsterdamned Reaper. The Carolina Reaper peppers are grown in the Netherlands by Westlandpeppers.
