Making your own sambal is very fun and easy with this sambal package. The sambal package consists of two different kinds of chilies to make sambal with. Sambal is an Indonesian spicy sauce made from ground chilies. Sambal can be added to any dish and there are endless variations. We have two different packages for a red and yellow sambal. The red sambal contains Rawit and Spanish red chilies and the yellow sambal contains Madame Jeanette and yellow chilies. Click here to read the sambal recipe.
Red sambal package:
- 250 grams of red chili peppers
- 3 Rawit chillies
- 2 solo garlic

- 250 grams of yellow chili peppers
- 3 Madame Jeanette chillies

Red sambal package:

Store fresh chilies in the refrigerator or a cool dark place in a pantry, basement cupboard, shed, etc. Ideal temperature is between 10°C and 13°C, that's when the peppers stay good the longest, about 7 to 14 days. It is also possible to freeze the peppers. Click here for more information on freezing peppers or other ways to keep them for a long time.
In the summer season (April-November) the fresh peppers are grown in the Netherlands in our own greenhouses. In the winter season (November-April) the fresh peppers are grown in the countries Spain, Israel & Morocco by our own growers.
