Description

Discover the delightful taste of Pimientos de Padron. These small, green, and fragrant Spanish peppers originally come from the Padrón region in Galicia, which is also where they get their name. They're delicious as a tapas dish and are often fried/grilled and sprinkled with coarse sea salt. These peppers have a mild flavor and aren't spicy at all. This makes them a perfect choice for anyone looking for a subtle and flavorful culinary experience.

While Pimientos de Padron are traditionally eaten as a snack or side dish in Spain, these delicious peppers are now winning over the hearts (and menus!) of food lovers worldwide. You'll find them popping up more and more on restaurant menus as a snack or side dish in places like the US, Mexico, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Recipe
Fry or grill the Padron peppers in a pan or oven with olive oil. Stir regularly until they're browned and lightly caramelized on all sides. The peppers should become soft, but still have a bit of a crunch. About 5-7 minutes in a pan over medium heat, or 15-20 minutes in the oven (175 degrees Celsius). Then sprinkle with (sea) salt to taste and serve immediately. You can also prepare them on the BBQ.

Unfortunately, I didn't receive real (original) Pimientos de Padron. They were simply green bell peppers. What a shame!

Sorry to hear you're not completely happy with the Pimientos de Padron you received. Could you send us an email with a photo of the Padron peppers you got? We grow a slightly larger variety of Pimientos de Padron than some might be used to, but these are indeed original Pimientos de Padron peppers. We chose this variety because, in our opinion, its quality and productivity are better.
