Description

The Shakira, also known as the Anaheim in Mexican cuisine, is a green pepper that's perfect for those who love a subtle kick. This pepper stands out with its elongated, curved shape and vibrant green color. It's mildly spicy with sweet, fruity notes, making its flavor similar to the green chili pepper, but bigger, coarser, and firmer. This makes these chili peppers ideal for stuffing and grilling. For example, they're often filled with cheese, meat, and/or vegetables, then grilled. Grilling gives the peppers a richer, sweeter, and slightly spicier flavor.

Originally, the Shakira is an Arabic pepper that's made its way into Turkish and North African cuisine. It's super popular there and used in all sorts of dishes, like tajines, kebabs, salads, stews, and sauces.

The Anaheim pepper is a key ingredient in Mexican and (South) American cooking. For example, it's used for Chiles Rellenos, where the peppers are roasted, peeled, and then stuffed with cheese, meat, or other fillings. After that, they're dipped in egg white batter and fried until golden brown. They're also great for salsas, soups, and served as a side dish or topping.

Delicious pepper! Overall, it's about as hot as a jalapeño, but at least twice as big, so it's fruitier in flavor. I made spIce-cubes and hot sauce with it.
A fantastic product to work with.
Just watch the eyes, afterwards ;-p
