This is how you make it

1
Heat the butter in a pan and add the water, sunflower oil, sugar and vanilla sugar and stir well. Let this cook for about 1 minute on low heat and keep stirring.

2
Add the flour and stir for at least 1 minute until all the flour has been incorporated and it has become a dough ball. Remove the pan from the heat and place the dough in a bowl. Leave the dough to cool for 10 minutes.

3
Add the egg to the dough and mix until the egg has been fully absorbed, then add the second egg and mix through the dough again. Fill a pastry bag with the churros batter and turn the pastry bag tightly at the top.

4
Heat the churros maker, deep fryer or a large pan with sunflower oil. Carefully spoon some long strips into the maker/fryer/pan, cut the churros to the desired length with scissors. Fry the churros on both sides until golden brown.

5
Make three bowls, one with cinnamon and sugar mixed in, one with melted chocolate and one with chilli flakes. Cover the churros with the cinnamon and sugar and then dip them in the chocolate and chilli flakes.

Tip

1
For even spicier churros, you can use Habanero chilli flakes or ground Carolina Reaper.
