Here's how to make it

1
Cut the jalapeños into rings. Put the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir this well until the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and add the jalapeño rings to the sugar water and let it cool and steep for at least 1 hour.

2
Dip the rims of the glasses in the jalapeño sugar water and then in the chili flakes to create a nice decorative effect.

3
Squeeze 2 limes and cut the third into wedges. Divide the lime juice, lime wedges and mint leaves between the glasses and muddle with a small pestle to release all the flavors. If you do not have a pestle, you can also use a small spoon and rub the mint leaves finely in your hands and stir well.

4
Put a tablespoon of jalapeño syrup in each glass. Divide the rum and mineral water between the glasses and finish with the ice cubes. Serve with a masher or spoon and your drinks are ready. Add the jalapeño rings for an extra spicy touch, cheers!
