Here's how to make it

1
Wash the Pimientos de Padron peppers and drain them.

2
Fry or grill the Padron peppers in a pan or oven with olive oil. Stir frequently in the pan and in the oven flip/stir halfway through. Until they are browned and lightly caramelized on all sides. The peppers should soften but still be slightly crunchy. About 5-7 minutes in a pan over medium-high heat and 15-20 minutes in the oven (175 degrees). Then sprinkle (sea) salt over the peppers to taste and serve immediately. It is also possible to prepare this on the BBQ.

Ingredients

sea salt, for example
  • olive oil

Also delicious!

Chili oil
Making your own spicy chili oil is super easy and you can really use it for anything! For example, add some to hummus for a spicy chili version.
Enchiladas Rojas

Chicken 65
This popular South Indian appetizer is made by marinating and deep-frying chicken with green chilies, curry leaves and spices.
