Here's how to make it

1
Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the water, sunflower oil, sugar and vanilla sugar and stir well. Let this cook for about 1 minute on low heat and keep stirring.

2
Add the flour and stir for at least 1 minute until all the flour is incorporated and it has become a ball of dough. Remove the pan from the heat and place the dough in a bowl. Let the dough cool for 10 minutes.

3
Add the egg to the dough and mix until the egg is fully incorporated, then add the second egg and mix briskly through the dough again. Fill a piping bag with the churros batter and twist the piping bag tightly at the top.

4
Heat the churros maker, deep fryer or a large pan with sunflower oil. Carefully pipe some long strips into the maker/frying pan/pan, using scissors cut the churros to the desired length. Fry the churros nicely golden brown on both sides.

5
Make three bowls, 1 with cinnamon and sugar mixed in, 1 with melted chocolate and 1 with chili flakes. Pass the churros through the cinnamon and sugar, then dip in the chocolate and chili flakes.

Tip

1
For even spicier Churros, use Habanero chili flakes or ground dried Carolina Reaper, for example.
