Description

Discover the intense heat and unmistakable flavour of the Carolina Reaper. For more than a decade, the Carolina Reaper dominated the super hot world as the number one hottest pepper in the world. Until Pepper X took its place as the hottest pepper in the world in 2023. The Reaper was cultivated by American breeder Ed Currie. The same grower also developed the Pepper X, which has now been officially declared the hottest chilli in the world by the Guinness World Records.

Despite this shift, the Carolina Reaper remains a powerful super hot pepper, loved for its tremendous heat and fruity aromas. The chilli gives an intense sensation that challenges even the biggest spice-lovers. But don’t let its spiciness fool you – behind the burning heat lurks a subtle fruitiness that excites the taste buds and adds layers to dishes. From hot sauces to rubs and marinades, this iconic pepper is a favourite ingredient for those looking for an intense super hot experience.

Warning: be careful when preparing and processing this extremely hot pepper! It is recommended to wear gloves when cutting the chillies and use them with care to avoid skin irritation and discomfort. Do you dare to take on the challenge?

It is best to store the fresh chillies in the refrigerator or in a cool dark place in a pantry, cellar cabinet, barn etc. The ideal temperature is between 10 °C and 13 °C, then the chillies stay the longest good, about 7 to 14 days. It is also possible to freeze the chillies, then you always have a supply. Click here for more information about freezing chilli peppers or other ways to preserve them for a long time.

They arrived without any damage, some of them wore a few days past they’re ripe optimal but all looked fine. The heat from these peppers is extreme, really hard to breathe in the same room you cut them, take caution.
    Will order again.
