With this BBQ rub, you get the tastiest pieces of meat from the barbecue. The rub is made according to a special Westlandpeppers recipe with our own paprika and chilli powder in combination with salt and brown sugar. The sugar caramelises the crust and the salt withdraws moisture from the meat. The result is a slightly spicy, sweet spice mix that is ideal for marinating a piece of meat or seasoning your pulled pork/chicken. Mix the BBQ rub with a large dash of olive oil, spread the meat generously and let the rub soak in for 1 to 2 hours, so the flavours are well absorbed into the meat. Because of the mildly spicy and sweet taste, the herb mix can also be used for other dishes, such as seasoning a vegetable skewer, mayonnaise, popcorn or another tasty snack.
