Sweety Drops are very small peppers, but as the name implies, the peppers are sweet in taste and not spicy. Originally the pepper comes from the jungle of Peru belonging to the Amazon Rainforest. You may have seen them in the supermarket, as they have been sold in glass jars for years. But these, of course, are not fresh and are processed with large amounts of oil and preservatives to give them a certain shelf life. The Sweety Drops from Westlandpeppers have that real fresh experience.
They are crunchy with an unprecedented wild Amazonian flavor. Perfect as a garnish for South American dishes, but these flavor bombs actually do great with a lot of dishes. For example, add them to salads, pasta, risotto and rice dishes for a sweet, crunchy and colorful twist. Or use sweety drops peppers as a topping on your pizza in place of traditional paprika.

Store the fresh Sweety drops chilies in the refrigerator or a cool dark place in a pantry, basement cupboard, shed, etc. Ideal temperature is between 10°C and 13°C, which is when the chilies stay good the longest, about 7 to 14 days. Though they look cute, I find that these peppers have an unpleasant taste, with a mildly spicy kick. They are not sweet. They might be better cooked - I'll give that a try.

Though they look cute, I find that these peppers have an unpleasant taste, with a mildly spicy kick. They are not sweet. They might be better cooked - I'll give that a try.
