Description

The pepper ristra is a garland of dried peppers that can be hung. Each ristra is about 75 cm long and contains about 200 pieces of Basque guindilla peppers. The peppers are dried in a special and traditional way. The pepper ristra is real eye-catcher in a restaurant/kitchen, but can of course also be used to flavor dishes. The guindilla peppers are mildly hot and are widely used in Mediterranean cuisine. Delicious for making fresh salsa or pasta sauces.

Preparation
- Fry the dried chilies in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes. This will release the essential oils and impart more flavor. Then soak the dried chilies with hot water. Soak them in hot water for 15/20 minutes and then cut/chop into desired size.
- Grind the dried chilies into flakes/flakes or powder.
