The small plants are placed on coconut substrate mats and then provided with a water-drip system. The substrate mats form a good nutrient medium for the pepper plants. And with many different varieties of peppers and paprikas that we grow, the water-drip system ensures that each plant receives exactly the right amount of water and nutrients!
Then the plants need a lot of time to grow. Some varieties, such as the hungarian wax, shakira and green jalapeño, can be harvested for the first time in February/March. But other varieties like the super hot and Aji Amarillo not until May. This differs per variety and colour.
