Make your weekend even more fun with these Jalapeño Mojitos. With this recipe you can make 4 classic Mojito cocktails with a spicy twist.
Cut the jalapeño into rings. Put the sugar and water in a pan and bring this to the boil. Stir well until the sugar has dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and add the jalapeño rings to the sugar water and let it cool and pull for at least 1 hour.
Dip the edges of the glasses in the jalapeño sugar water and then in the chili flakes, so you get a spicy effect.
Press 2 limes and cut the third one into wedges. Divide the lime juice, lime wedges and mint leaves over the glasses and mash them with a small pestle so that all flavours are released. If you don't have a pestle you can also use a small spoon and rub the mint leaves finely in your hands and stir well.
Put a tablespoon of jalapeño syrup in each glass. Divide the rum and mineral water over the glasses and finish with the ice cubes. Serve with a pestle or spoon and your drinks are ready. Add the jalapeño rings for an extra spicy touch, cheers!
