The Sriracha Sauce is a Thai sauce that has become very popular in the United States. The Thai sauce is named after the coastal town Si Racha, where the sauce comes from. Westlandpeppers has made its own fermented version of this sauce with fresh mild peppers. The Sriracha Sauce is made of red peppers and is between a Tabasco and a bell pepper sauce. It is a delicious spicy sauce with an exotic taste, which is distinctive from many other hot sauces. The sauce can be eaten with anything, as an addition to a dish or just delicious on a hamburger/sandwich and is also delicious to dip. The sauce is made of pure peppers with minimal additions and is therefore rich in flavour.
Our sauces are produced at a local company in small batches to ensure an exclusive product. In addition to vinegar, the sauces contain no preservatives or colouring additives. For the sauces, we use as many peppers as possible that we can’t use for the supermarkets, restaurants, or consumers. These are for example chillies that are crooked, have spots or have already become a little soft. By using these class 2 chillies we try to throw away as few chillies as possible. With this, we want to prevent food waste in a sustainable way. Because we work in this way, it does mean that it can sometimes take a little longer before a product is available again.
