The Corn husk or corn leaves are widely used in Mexican and Central American cuisine, for example, to make Tamales. These are steamed dough packages made from corn flour wrapped in corn leaves. It is a traditional dish with a filling of meat, vegetables, cheese or (dried) fruit, often flavoured with chillies. The word tamalli in Nahuatl (native language in Mexico) means something like wrapped. The corn husk is often used as a wrapper to process food and then steam or bake it. In addition, it is also a beautiful and original way to present food. The optimal storage temperature is 10 – 20 °C. It is also very important that these leaves are stored in a dry place.
You can order the corn leaves per 50 gram (± 15 pieces) or 240 gram (± 70 pieces). So for example, if you want to order 720gr Corn husk, you select the quantity 240gr and place this item 3 times in your chart.
