The Ancho Poblano can best be described as a bell pepper with a mildly spicy bite. It looks like long, narrow bell peppers but has a slow subtle heat. Originally the Poblano comes from Mexico and is, therefore, a well-known product in the Mexican cuisine. The reason why there are two names for this product is that if you dry the Poblano, it is called Ancho and fresh it is called Poblano. Because of the confusion, we call it Ancho Poblano.
You can order the Poblanos per 0,5 kilo. So for example, if you want to order 5-kilo Poblanos, you place this item 10 times in your cart. In addition to the fresh Poblano’s Westlandpeppers also offers dried Ancho & dried Mulato peppers. These are dried varieties of the fresh Poblano’s.
