Description

The Al Pastor seasoning mix is a special rub to make the dish Al Pastor. Al Pastor is a tortilla/taco with spiced stew, pineapple, onion, coriander and lime. This herb mix is perfect for marinating the meat. The dish has its origins in Mexico City, where it was brought to by migrants from Lebanon and the Middle East. The Lebanese immigrants took the recipe of their shoarma with them to Mexico, where the pita rolls were replaced by tortillas and it got a Mexican “touch”.
The Al Pastor spices consist of a mix of different herbs, such as cumin, paprika and chilli powder and can be used to flavour any dish/meat.

The Al Pastor seasoning mix ingredients:
– cumin
– paprika powder
– anise seed
– oregano
– garlic powder
– chilli flakes (Chile de Arbol)
– salt (<1%)

To complete the Al Pastor sauce, add tomato puree and pineapple.
