Nikkei Togarashi is a spicy Japanese/Peruvian blend of several spices, including Roasted Sesame Seeds, Ginger Powder, Orange Peel Powder and Aji Amarillo Powder. The addition of the Aji Amarillo powder gives it a Peruvian touch and makes it the ideal spice mix for Nikkei cuisine. This seasoning goes on, under and between everything. Always just enough for an extra kick.
These are the herbs you need to have at home if you want to cook Nikkei. The recipe is also in, ‘Cocina Nikkei’, Katinka Lansink Dodero’s new cookbook. And is a key ingredient for many recipes in the book.
