Description

Mirasol oil is a deliciously spicy and fruity oil. The oil is made with Aji Mirasol, which is the dried version of the Aji Amarillo. Mirasol means ‘facing the sun’ in Spanish, because the pepper grows towards the sun and because of its orange/yellow colour. Arbol flakes and Anatto powder are also processed in the oil. The Arbol gives the oil an extra spicy flavour and the Anatto powder an extra beautiful orange/red colour. Mirasol oil is perfect for use as a dressing, marinade and/or for grilling.

The mirasol oil is made in collaboration with Katinka Lansink Dodero ‘alias cevicheceviche’. The recipe was developed by Katinka and Bram Kloosterman of Westlandpeppers. Together they mastered the recipe with the perfect oil. Made from dried Aji Amarillo peppers, also known as Aji Mirasol.
