The Arbol chili flakes, also known as Korean Gochugaru, are coarsely ground dried Chili de Arbol chillies. The Arbol chili flakes can be added to a dressing, but usually, the red flakes are baked or stewed along. It gives a delicious spicy flavour to your dishes. The dried Chile de Arbol is a mildly spicy pepper, similar in shape to a mini Cayenne pepper. It is a pepper with a short and powerful spiciness, and has a hint of nuttiness, almost smoky in flavour, along with a slight grassy undertone. With its strong herbal flavor, these chili flakes give a dish not only more spiciness but also much more flavor. The flakes are also often used to make Kimchi, which is a Korean herbal blend.
