The Shishito small package is an aluminium tray with Shishito peppers where the chilies can be in prepared immediately. The green Shishito has a strong, savoury taste and is originally from Japan. The name Shishito in Japanese refers to ‘head of the Lion’, which resembles the bottom of the pepper. In terms of taste, appearance and use in the kitchen, the pepper looks like the Pimientos de Padron, but in combination with typical Japanese dishes. This package contains 150-gram Shishito peppers, olive oil and salt in an aluminium tray.
Recipe: Wash the shishito peppers. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Bake the Shishito pepper with olive oil for 15-20 minutes in the aluminium tray, until they are soft and a little bit brown. Season with sea salt. Enjoy!
